Originally released in 1991,Until the End of the World is a science fiction drama film by German film director Wim Wenders. Set at the turn of the millennium in the shadow of a world-changing catastrophe, the film stars William Hurt and Solveig Dommartin, following their characters as they are pursued across the globe, in a plot involving a device to record memories.
Warner Records presents the soundtrack album to the film released in 1991 along with the film. The soundtrack album contains tracks from music royalty, such as Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, U2, R.E.M, Elvis Costello, Can, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Lou Reed, Julee Cruise, Neneh Cheery and more. All tracks, apart from U2’s Until the End of the World, which was previously released on the band’s 1991 album Achtung Baby, were all original contributions to the soundtrack and now, subsequently, appear on many of the artists greatest hits albums.
Pressed on vinyl for the first time by Warner Records, this 2xLP is pressed on classic black vinyl.
