Servitude, the tenth album by The Black Dahlia Murder, marks Brian Eschbach's debut as the band’s lead vocalist and lyricist, following the passing of former frontman Trevor Strnad. The album also features the return of guitarist Ryan Knight, who last played with the band on 2015’s Abysmal.
Eschbach embraced his new role, delivering intense, narrative-driven lyrics, as heard on tracks like “Aftermath,” which imagines a post-apocalyptic world, and “Mammoth’s Hand,” inspired by a scene from The Beastmaster. The third single, “Panic Hysteria,” offers a classic TBDM waltz in a Swedish melodic death metal style, with lyrics playfully quoting Frank Sinatra. Despite the challenges, the band remains committed to their fans, channeling their grief and passion into an album that honours Strnad’s legacy while pushing their sound forward.

Popcultcha will only accept returns, process refunds, or exchange goods if we are contacted or notified within 7 days of you receiving the goods at your nominated delivery address.
