Who is Master Splinter?

Mature, serious, and defensive, Hamato Yoshi was born in Japan, where he became a martial arts instructor and leader of his ninja clan. His skills were only rivaled by his fellow student Oroku Saki, Yoshi's adopted brother, who came from one of the rival clans that had been eliminated, the Foot Clan. As a human, he was a great and powerful Ninjutsu master. He trained from a young age, mastering his abilities, with strength, agility, speed, and endurance beyond that of any athlete. In America, an accident with a substance called Mutagen transformed him into an anthropomorphic rat, and his pet turtles underwent the same mutation, gaining humanoid bodies and intelligence. He took the name Splinter and gave the turtles the names of Renaissance painters and sculptors from an art book, taking on the role of father and teacher to the four heroic turtles. Later, he would encounter his old archenemy Oroku Saki, now going by the name Shredder, leading the Foot Clan.

The Master Splinter MiniCo 5" Vinyl Figure features the sensei of the four brother turtles who protect the city, in a Toy-Art style that has already won the hearts of fans and collectors worldwide! This wise and highly skilled anthropomorphic mutant rodent from New York confidently beckons his foes with a small gesture from his right index finger. With his trusty staff tucked securely between his back and under his left arm, he stands ready to defend or strike, just like a Japanese Bō staff. Clad in a faded maroon kimono and a black belt, this elderly brown-furred rat, complete with long gray eyebrows, takes a moment to rest his right leg on a stack of pizza boxes left behind by his beloved adopted sons.
