In 1974, Hello Kitty was introduced in Japan as a highly popular coin purse. Since then, Kitty White’s popularity has skyrocketed, serving as Sanrio’s unofficial mascot. She is five apples tall, loves reading, music, traveling and making new friends.
On the front flap, Hello Kitty visits a popcorn stand run by Tippy. This scene comes to life in applique detail, with an umbrella shape that rises up over the top. A bold pop of red fills in on the flap behind them. Below them, there is an all-over-pattern that wraps around the back. The pattern features an entire carnival with food stands and rides, surrounded by neighborhoods, pocket parks, fluffy clouds, rainbows and smiling suns. Inside, you’ll find 5 slots for carrying cards. It’s the perfect accessory for exploring a local carnival or fair—or for turning everyday moments into sweet memories.
