Red Hot Chili Peppers - Mother's Milk LP Vinyl Record

Formed in Los Angeles in 1983, The Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold over 80 million records worldwide, and as such as one of the best-selling bands of all time. With their unique blend of alternative rock, funk rock, funk metal, and rap rock, the band also take influence from more niche punk and psychedelic areas.

Released in 1989, "Mother's Milk" is the fourth studio album from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The released proved to be a greater commercial success than their first three albums, peaking at number 52 on the US Billboard 200. It received widespread airplay for the included cover of Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground", along with "Knockdown", which reflected a radical shift in style for the band, and the highly popular "Taste the Pain". Amy Hanson from AllMusic stated that the album "turned the tide and transformed the band from underground funk-rocking rappers to mainstream bad boys with seemingly very little effort.", a sentiment that often rings true to the band's countless worldwide fans.
