The dark fantasy world created by the Academy Award-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is coming to life with this amazing Faun 1:1 Scale Life-Size Bust by Elite Creature Collectibles.

Set in Spain after the Spanish Civil War, the story of Pan’s Labyrinth follows a young girl named Ofelia who is struggling with her ailing mother and a country in turmoil. Del Toro got the idea of the iconic Faun character from his own childhood experiences of "lucid dreaming”, with the faun being altered into a goat-faced creature almost completely made out of earth, moss, vines, and tree bark. He became a mysterious, semi-suspicious figure who gave the impression of being both trustworthy and suspicious.

According to Guillermo del Toro, the Faun is "a creature that is neither good or evil....like nature....a character there to be witness and shepherd her (Ofelia) in her rite of passage, but he has no agenda. He doesn't care if she dies or lives.”

Based on the cinematic masterpiece Pan’s Labyrinth, the Faun 1:1 Scale Life-Size Bust has been sculpted according to actor Doug Jones’ lifecast with art direction by Steve Wang and del Toro to create an incredibly authentic piece that captures every fine detail of the mysterious being. The skilfully crafted bust has been cast in high-quality resin with hand-painted details and finished with real hair and handmade glass eyes, and sits at an impressive 29.5” tall on a fantastic tree entrance-themed display base.

Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, Miyo Nakamura, and the production is limited to a mere 299 pieces worldwide, so don’t miss out on bringing the fantasy to life in your collection.
