“Carnegie Hall 1970” is Neil Young’s third studio album, originally released in 1999. Neil Percival Young is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter, musician, and activist Looking back at the blockbuster success of "Heart of Gold," the mellow country-rock tune that became his first number one single and only Billboard Top 40 hit in 1971. Young has received several Grammy and Juno Awards along with being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice: in 1995 as a solo artist and in 1997 as a member of Buffalo Springfield.
