Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory LP Vinyl Record (Translucent Yellow Coloured Vinyl)

Hybrid Theory is the debut studio album by American rock band Linkin Park, released on October 24, 2000. The album's lyrical themes deal with problems lead vocalist Chester Bennington experienced during his adolescence, including drug abuse and the constant fighting and subsequent divorce of his parents.

The album had strong commercial success being certified 12x platinum. Four singles were released including “One Step Closer", "In the End", "Crawling" and "Papercut”. All of these songs were responsible for launching Linkin Park into mainstream popularity. While "In the End" was the most successful of the four, all of the singles on the album remain some of the band's most lucrative and well known songs to date.

The title Hybrid Theory lends itself to the effective combination of hip hop and heavy metal sounds, with controlled melodies played out through angsty vocals. It acted as the perfect gateway drug for millions of teens to discover alternative music at the time, capturing attention through immense hooks, fluid vocal interplay and nodding beats.

After Bennington’s passing in July 2017, the album reached #1 on the iTunes and Amazon music charts.   The album is a fitting tribute to the much loved and immensely talented singer/songwriter and one that will remain in the hearts and collections of an infinite fan base.
