Released in 2019, Honey Boy is an American drama film directed by Alma Har'el (in her narrative feature directorial debut) with a screenplay by Shia LaBeouf, based on his childhood and his relationship with his father, which he originally wrote as a form of therapy while in rehab. The film stars LaBeouf, Lucas Hedges, Noah Jupe and FKA Twigs.
Famed scores man and frequent Sigur Ros co-conspirator Alex Somers lends a handy ear for ambient and neo-classical tones to the film. Bridging the extreme gulf between poignancy and exploitation evident in LaBeouf and Harel’s heart wrenching work, Somers likewise takes a measured approach to vast string arrangements and eye-to-eye intimacy.
Pressed on vinyl for the first time by Krunk Records, this LP is pressed on classic black vinyl.
