In 2017, record producer and XL Recordings head Richard Russell introduced his new collaborative artist project, Everything Is Recorded. With Russell at the helm, his west London studio “The Copper House” had become (and continues to be) a creative second home for a revolving cast of vocalists and musicians who passed through to write, record and share ideas, mixing traditional recording sessions with extended, uninhibited live jams. Russell is renowned for his album production work for Bobby Womack, Damon Albarn, Ibeyi and Gil ScottHeron among others.
Here, on his self-titled debut solo album "Everything Is Recorded," Richard Russell enlists an impressive lineup of features with contributions on vocals from Sampha, Giggs, Ibeyi, Obongjayar, Infinite, Wiki & Syd, and instrumental contributions from Kamasi Washington, Damon Albarn, Rachel Zeffira, Peter Gabriel, Owen Pallett & more. Here, a spirit of soundsystem-inspired collaboration and experimentation runs through the heart of an album that is born out of some spontaneous moments of togetherness and periods of intense personal reflection for its creator, and is at once soulful, timeless and boldly modern

Popcultcha will only accept returns, process refunds, or exchange goods if we are contacted or notified within 7 days of you receiving the goods at your nominated delivery address. Upon us receiving the notification of damage or a manufacturing issue, we may request photographic evidence of the parcel and/or the particular product that has the issue. We will review this photo and contact you at our earliest convenience to discuss you options in relation to the product issue.
