Black Widow - Avengers Vol 1 #111 Limited Edition 8.5” Gilt Pewter Statue
In 1973's Avengers Vol 1 #111, the X-Men and most of the Avengers are being held captive by Magneto and it is up to the remaining Avengers with the help of Natasha Romanov, known as Black Widow, to free the captives and stop Magnetos evil plan. This issue is significant as it marks the occasion that Black Widow offically becomes a member of the Avengers team.
Illustrator Alan Quah and sculptor Ghim Ong bring the cover art of John Romita, Joe Sinnott and Gaspar Saladino to life with this 3D interpretation detailed in 24K Gilt fine Pewter. Standing at 8.5" tall, it features Natasha bursting from the page swinging in to action in her Black Widow outfit, centered on a matte black base detailed with the symbol of the Black Widow.
Alan Quah is a respected illustrator in the international comics and collectibles communities. Ghim Ong’s strong interest in 3D sculpting has led to his working on Marvel, DC and Disney properties.
