Heaven and Hell is the ninth studio album by Black Sabbath, originally released in April 1980. It marks a pivotal moment in the band’s career as it is the first album to feature vocalist Ronnie James Dio, who replaced original vocalist Ozzy Osbourne in 1979. Produced by Martin Birch, Heaven and Hell was a commercial success, reaching number 28 on the Billboard 200 and achieving platinum status in the United States.
This digitally remastered deluxe edition includes several bonus tracks that have never been released in North America, such as live versions of Children of the Sea and Die Young from a 1980 Hartford, CT performance. The set also features live rarities like E5150 and Neon Knights, which were originally part of 2007's limited edition collection Black Sabbath: Live at Hammersmith Odeon.
