Proudly presented by the masterful manufacturers at Mondo, this version of the "Batman Returns - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” comes complete with all new artwork from Kilian Eng. The alluring 2xLP work consists of Danny Elfman’s brilliant score to Tim Burton’s 1992 blockbuster, "Batman Returns.” The soundtrack is concluded by the iconic song "Face to Face” which was written by Elfman alongside Siouxsie and the Banshees. The song was used heavily in the promotion of the film and is just one of the stunning, nostalgic moments of this soundtrack.
With more control given to Tim Burton’s creative direction, “Batman Returns” saw some key changes in its soundtrack. Rather than leaning on rescored music from the first movie, Elfman composed a score that mostly consists of new themes and material. Not without the iconic Batman theme, this soundtrack also includes the definitive music of key characters such as the Penguin, Catwoman and Max Shreck. This soundtrack represents a major step forward for Elfman who would ultimately become one of the finest soundtrack composers of both his generation and all time.
