After lasting 3 seasons and 120 episodes on the air, there was also a live-action film featuring much of the same cast. This was one of the first adaptations of the DC Comics characters away from the comic book series. Ever since, The Dark Knight has been adapted in many different formats since 1966. This version was known for its “camp style”, its upbeat theme music and relatively simplistic youth-aimed moral lessons, which include the importance of using seat belts, doing homework, eating vegetables and drinking milk among children.
